Casino Barriere de Dinard, like the neighboring Grand Hotel Dinard, is owned by the Barriere Group Corporation. The history of the city's two major buildings is intertwined, their activities defined by a leading French company with a worldwide reputation. For more than 100 years, the company has been involved in the entertainment industry, hotels and restaurant business. It started in 1912, when the founder of the company Francois André bought the first casino and started the reconstruction of the Deauville gambling house. Then the business passed to his nephew Lucien Barriere, whose last name is the corporation.
