Casino Cabourg story

The construction of the Cabourg Casino began on May 9, 1854. The first building was wooden and stood too close to the cliff. In 1862 the fashionable Hotel de la Plage was built nearby, so in 1867 the casino was moved closer to the hotel and made of stone. In 1880 the building of the gambling house was expanded by adding a ballroom, in 1891 the casino was electrified.
