Casino Partouche Pornic story
The area on the Bay of Biscay began to become known as a seaside resort in the 19th century. The unique coastline with sandy beaches and cliffs, the healing water from the springs, the mild climate, the presence of the port and the Haut-Perche canal contributed to the popularity of Pornic. In the middle of the 19th century, the construction of mansions began to boom, and hotels, spa centers, various entertainment venues and, of course, casinos sprang up nearby. In 1875 a railroad line from Nantes was opened, from that moment the resort town began to be visited not only by wealthy people, but also by all those wishing to improve their health. Pornic was a favorite destination for celebrities such as Auguste Renoir, Gustave Flaubert, Henri Lebasque and others.
The Casino De Pornic is currently owned by the Partouche group. Its interests include 43 casinos in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Tunisia. The renowned French firm continues to develop the gambling facility in Pornic in the spirit of a new concept called Pasino, which combines gambling, shows, performances, events, restaurants and bars in one complex. In order to expand the gambling area, the completion of the new Partouche Casino in the city, located next to the old building, has already been announced. A real highlight of the area was the pedestrian bridge to go from one establishment to another. More than 4.7 million euros were spent on the work.
