The gambling and entertainment complex is located at the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard. It is owned by MGM Resorts International Corporation. The casino occupies the fifth position in the ranking of the largest gaming houses in the United States. The area of this area is 12500 square meters. Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino story

Circus Circus Enterprises purchased the Hacienda building and adjacent site in 1995, and in 1996 Hacienda was closed and demolished, after which construction of the tropical "Paradise" began. A little later, it was renamed Mandalay Bay to evoke the exotic romanticism traced in Rudyard Kipling's poem "Mandalay."

The atrium opened in March 1999. The inaugural event featured a Bob Dylan concert, hosted by the Blues Brothers. In 2001, construction began on a massive convention center (opened in 2003).

2002 was marked by the announcement of a second hotel tower, now called THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. It opened in December 2003.

In 2005, the complex was taken over by MGM Resorts International. In January 2020, it was resold to a joint venture between Blackstone Group and MGM Growth Properties.

On the night of Oct. 2, 2017, millionaire Stephen Paddock opened fire from his room on the 32nd floor of the hotel. He was aiming for the crowd attending the Route 91 Harvest country music festival. The shooting killed 58 people, wounded about 700, and Stephen himself shot himself.

The gaming and entertainment atrium has the same junket tour program as other complexes whose operation is based on MGM Resorts' policies. Guests are provided with free services such as flight, transfers, lodging and meals. The main objective of the guest is to play the game.
