A casino-hotel called the Continental opened in 1981 and ran through 1999. Three years before the resort closed, Crowne Ventures planned to buy the building for $35 million. The purchase did not materialize as the firm went bankrupt. For the same reason, the hotel was closed in March 1999. At the end of the same year, the hotel was purchased by ETT Gaming. The building underwent redevelopment and renovation: the interior of the property was demolished, but its exterior was preserved. The cost of the hotel and its renovation amounted to $65 million.
In 2000, the casino-hotel was opened and named Terrible's. In 2011, a major renovation began, which included remodeling rooms, modernizing the main floor, and improving the exterior and interior. The resort was then named Silver Sevens.
