Married twice. First wife - Tatiana Sergeevna Getmantseva, lawyer, works in Nazca. From the first marriage there is a son Ivan, lives with his mother.
Second wife - Getmantseva (Shveya) Olga Sergeevna. There is no information about her activities. The former wife of a prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office, separated from her husband when she lived in a civil marriage with Daniil Getmantsev and raised a common son Mikhail.
The politician also has a son Sergei, who now lives in the village of Motovilovka.

In 1997, while still a student, he started working for M.S.L.. - a state lottery operator. After graduation he worked there as an in-house lawyer. After privatization, he became the owner of a block of shares in the company and one of the co-founders of M.S.L. LLC. Daniil Getmantsev supports tax amnesty in Ukraine. In March 2020, the MP was accused of sexism after his correspondence with the head of the budget committee, Yuriy Aristov, hit the web. In the messages, Hetmantsev expressed his displeasure over the appointment of a "baba" to the post of Deputy Finance Minister Igor Umansky:
"He wants to take as first deputy a baba who worked for a southerner in my committee, whom I kicked out."

- He was twice recognized as the best lawyer in the field of taxation at the annual award ceremony of the best lawyers of Ukraine - "Yuridicheskaya Premiya" in 2012 and 2016.
- He was twice included in the top 100 lawyers of Ukraine for achievements in the field of banking, finance and tax law and was recognized as one of the leading lawyers of the country in the field of banking and finance law, securities and stock market - in 2010 and 2018.
