Johnny Hartnett

Career

Johnny Harnett has 20 years' experience in betting and gaming across a wide range of businesses and geographies. He has been with PPB since 1999 when he joined the Paddy Power trading team and subsequently held a number of senior positions including managing international director and managing director of Paddy Power Online. He also spent almost seven years at PPB Sportsbet Australia.

Johnny holds a degree in Economics from University College Dublin.

Harnett has now been CEO of Superbet Group since August 2019.

Founded in 2008 by Sasa Dragic, currently Executive Chairman of Superbet Group, Superbet Group has direct operations in Romania and Poland, offices in six other countries and a turnover of almost €250 million in 2019. At 2019 level, Superbet operates a network of almost 1,000 agencies in Romania and 100 in Poland, and has around 5,000 employees in the eight countries in which it is present.
